Obituary for George Bannister

George Owen Bannister, 66, of Wheaton Settlement passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Woodstock, he was the son of the late Harold and Zelma "Ethel" Bannister.

George loved to have fun, hunting, fishing, playing music (especially his gut bucket), enjoyed a cold beer, his camp, four wheeling and driving his Kubota tractor.

He is survived and sadly missed by his wife Arleen Woodworth; children Joseph (Amanda) and Nancy; step–children Lindsay (Kenny) and Johnathan (Christa); grandchildren Royce, Marissa, Joshua, Austin, Abby and Savanna; sister Bernice; brothers Arthur (Marjorie) and Eldon; several nieces and nephews and grand–dog Leroy.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by his first wife Betty; sister Rachel and brothers James, Joe, Clarence, and Johnny.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the family camp on Scott Road on Saturday, October 13 at 2 pm.

The family would like to thank Extra Mural nurses Sue, Lisa and Kim and Dr. Mansfield and Dr. Searle for the exceptional care of George.

Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home & Crematorium (372–4800).

If desired, donations to the IWK or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
