Obituary for Charlotte Boyd

The passing of Charlotte Alice (Allender) Boyd of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Lloyd Boyd occurred on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 22, 1941 in Toronto, ON, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Walsh) Allender.

Charlotte worked for many years with School District 18, retiring as an Administrative Assistant at Fredericton High School, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a faithful member of Gibson Memorial United Church, she served as a Sunday school teacher and later as the Sunday school superintendant; over the years she was also a member of the UCW and the Worship Committee.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Lora Dawn Angnatok (Joey); sons, Steven Boyd and Jeff Boyd (Shelly); grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicholas, Ethan, Emelia and Olivia; great-grandchildren, London and Lincoln; brother, Bill Allender (Marsha); sister-in-law, Carol Boyd; many nieces, nephews, and long time friend, Margaret Allen.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Lawrence Boyd.

A Memorial Service will take place at Gibson Memorial United Church on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Kelly Higgins officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will take place in Red Bank Cemetery, Chipman, NB.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the nursing staff of DECRH 4NW, the Palliative Care team and York Care Foundation.
