Obituary for Susan Linton

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Mary Linton who lost her courageous battle with Trigeminal Neuralgia at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on Thursday, October 11, 2018. Born in Saint John, NB on August, 5 1950, Susan was the daughter of the late Robert and Ina Linton.

Susan is now exploring the universe free from pain and frustration. Although Susan was a very private person, we want her to be recognized for what she was, because she was great.

After graduating From St. Vincent’s High School in Saint John, NB, Susan became a Registered Nurse (RN) in 1973. While working as a RN, Susan obtained her B.Sc. in Health Education at Dalhousie University and later obtained her Masters in Adult Education at UNB Fredericton. Susan’s work life skills were equally as impressive as her educational skills. Researching projects, educating colleague, writing and implementing occupational health programs that were adopted provincially wide in various industrial sectors brought Sue to be a well–respected employee in the private and public sectors. Although Susan lived a less than average life span, Susan did not live an average life. She travelled where she wanted to worldwide, laughed at every chance, danced where she wanted and when she wanted, learned what she wanted to learn, painted what she wanted to paint, and loved who she wanted to love. In 1992 she found her soul mate Jim Clark in Fredericton where they built a wonderful life together. As a team they undertook a series of house building and renovation projects where Sue (Hun) was the unstoppable force. Her last in life love was the unfolding of her artist soul. Sue’s latest watercolors exhibit in Grand Manan which was a huge success illustrated her talented gift. It was her Stanley Cup!!!

Susan treasured her many groups of friends including; the Fundy Sisters, the Marigols, the Clark Clan, the Riley Gang, the Haley Sisters, the Fredericton Gals and the Woodstock Wine Group.

She loved and was loved most by her husband James Clark of Fredericton; Sue’s oldest brother Tom and his angelic wife Ann from Saint John, her loving brother Dave and his beautiful wife Karen from Vancouver, her younger brother Steven and his vivacious wife Eileen from Fredericton; and special cousin Rose Linton from Day’s Corner; Sue’s nephews and niece whom she adored include: Michael of Vancouver, Chrissie (Harold) of Dartmouth, Patrick of London ON, Peter of Fredericton and grandnephew Jeremy of Dartmouth. Bibbi Sue (what Jim’s grandchildren called Sue) will be greatly missed by grandchildren Xavier, Kyla and Roman as well as Jim’s daughter and son–in–law Jillian and Orson Archer of Toronto.

Sue’s wishes to acknowledge the loving impact the Cummings Clan had on her childhood. She has cherished those memories forever.

Everyone who knew Susan is asked to celebrate her life in their own way. Raising a glass of their favourite drink in her memory would be quite appropriate. Make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 15, 2018 at McAdam’s Funeral Home from 2 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 12:05 pm with Fr. Bill Brennan officiating.

Donations to the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association of Canada or of the donor’s choice would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Online condolences can be made at www.mcadamsfh.com
