Obituary for Barbara Caines-Thorne

1942–2018
Barbara Caines–Thorne passed away suddenly at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Born in Havelock, daughter of the late Leo and Freda (Corey) Thorne.

Barb will be sadly missed by her three daughters; Anita (Richard) Gillman, Stephanie Caines (Steve), Nicole Goodwin (Luke), two granddaughters; Mackenzie and Alysha. Also survived by three brothers; Bernard (Donna), Blaine (Sandra), Byron (Linda), one fantastic sister Berneta as well as several nieces, nephews and father of her daughters, Art.

Besides her parents, Barb was predeceased by her loving partner Claude.

Barb was very active with various RCAF Veterans Associations. She was an avid gardener, animal lover and enjoyed home renovation projects. She loved travelling and spending time with her family and friends. She was always on the go; hence her nickname “Roadster”.

Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton on Saturday, October 13 from 2 to 4 pm followed by a celebration of her life at the Air Force Veterans Club, St. George Blvd. Moncton at 4:30 pm. Interment will be held in Fair Haven Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. A book of condolences may be signed at www.fairhavenmemorial.ca.

Thank You to the Neuro ICU Staff for their care and dedication, with special thanks to Annette.
