Obituary for Arthur Babineau

(1930–2018)
RICHIBOUCTOU–VILLAGE, NB – Arthur Babineau, 88, of Richibouctou–Village passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Stella–Maris–De–Kent Hospital, Ste–Anne–de–Kent on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Born in Richibouctou–Village, he was the son of the late Alfred Babineau and late Emilie Anne (Léger) Babineau.

Before retiring, Arthur was a carpenter.

Arthur will be sadly missed by his wife, Thérèse (Boucher) Babineau of Richibouctou–Village; two daughters, Linda Savoie (Jessey), Rosa Guimond (Ronald) both of Richibouctou–Village; two sons, Alvin Babineau (Thelma) of Richibouctou–Village, Arthur Babineau Jr. (Gaëtane) of Fredericton; three grandchildren, Robert, Conrad, Joslain and three great-grandchildren, Alek, Kayla and Eric. He is also survived by two sisters, Doris Ouellette (Aurèle) of Dieppe, Eva Richard (Emile) of Gardner, MA and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Laurette and one brother, Jack.

The family would like to give special thanks to Wanda and Jean Marie and their caring staff at the Foyer Jean Marie Allain in Bouctouche during his time with you. We also send our gratitude and appreciation to the dedicated nurses and staff at the Stella–Maris–De–Kent Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 pm until time of the funeral at the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 4:00 pm, St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richibouctou–Village.

Donations in Arthur’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523–4252).
