Obituary for Murray Carpenter

It It is with heavy hearts that the family of Murray "Bud" Douglas Carpenter, husband of the late Barbara (Jones) Carpenter of Kars, NB announce his death which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 7th, at the age of 86. He was born on February 24, 1932 in Saint John, NB. He was a son of the late Albert and Myrtle (Vanwart) Carpenter.

Murray is survived by his son James and Autumn of Oak Point; daughter Margie of Kars; brothers: Gerald of Tennants Cove, Raymond and Bonnie of Fredericton; sisters: Doreen Belyea of Wickham, Viola and Clayton Marr of Wickham; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Sheila and brothers Alfred and Hazen.

Arrangements are entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506–839–2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. where visitation will be held Saturday, November 10th from 3 to 6pm. The funeral service will be held Monday, November 12th, 2018 from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery, NB.

Donations in memory of Murray may be made to the Extra Mural Program, Heart & Stroke or Donor’s Choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through SherwoodsFuneralHome.com
