Obituary for Kenneth Johnson

1945 – 2018
Kenneth "Ken" Johnson, of Havelock, formerly of Riverview, passed away on November 6, 2018 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton on May 14, 1945, he was the son of the late Olive (nee Geldart) and Reginald Johnson.

Ken was a self–employed general contractor for most of his working career, he also worked for T. Eaton’s Co. and The Moncton Hospital. He loved dogs and raised Labrador Retrievers. Ken was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending time in the woods hunting, fishing and was involved with Boy Scouts.

Ken was proud to be a descendant of John Mercer Johnson, a Father of Confederation, who served in the new House of Commons of Canada from 1867 to 1868 as a Liberal member.

He is survived by his wife Gillian (nee Meahan) Johnson of Riverview, daughter Shelley (Craig) Ward of Riverview, brother R. Bruce Johnson and grandchildren; Samantha and Valerie.

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869–2007).

Donations in Ken’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
