Obituary for Louise Connell

It is with great sadness that the family of Louise Connell of Burton, NB announce her death on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Hospice Fredericton. Born in Saint John, NB on July 7, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Bessie (Winchester) Finlay and wife of Fred Connell.

Louise enjoyed many things including knitting and puzzles but above all else, she loved her family.

She will be missed by her husband, Fred and her children, Michael (Marilyn) of Edmonton, AB, Michele Ross (Norman) of Ear Falls, ON, Paul (Robin) of Inverary, ON and David of Burton, NB. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Robyn, Crystal, Erik, Darren, Andrew, Sara, Kaetlin and Maghan; great-granddaughter, Emily; siblings, Bill Finlay (Louise) of Rothesay, NB, Doug Finlay (Evelyn) of Saint John, NB and Betty Sahagian of Airdrie, AB; foster sister, Anna Pettifer of Nauwigewauk, NB; brother–in–law, Wayne Connell of Moncton, NB; sister–in–law, Rosalie Savoie of Quispamsis, NB as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; parents–in–law, Thomas and Lillian Connell; brothers–in–law, Nathan Sahagian and William Connell and sister–in–law, Marie Lingley.

There will be no visitation by Louise’s request. A private graveside service will be held in Saint John, NB at a later date.

For those who wish, memorial tributes in her honour may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Kidney Foundation.
