Obituary for Marjorie Bell

1929 - 2019
Marjorie J. Bell, 89, formerly of Berry Mills, NB; passed away peacefully at McNair Manor in Moncton on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, USA, she was the daughter of Ronald H. and Vera F. (Allen) McGuigan.

Marjorie was a retired certified nurse in Canada and the United States. Marjorie attended New Brunswick Bible Institute; graduated from the Victoria Public Hospital School of Nursing in Fredericton, and retired from the Moncton Hospital in 1985. She was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for many years.

She is survived by her step children Holly Sowerby (Larry) of Dartmouth, NS; Stephen Bell (Debbie) of Beaver Bank, NS; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a sister Angie Burpee (Al) of Upper Queensbury, NB; a brother Mel McGuigan (Barbara) of Fredericton, NB; sisters-in-law Anna McGuigan and Audrey McGuigan, as well as nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband John D. Bell in September 2018; also by four brothers Ronald Jr., Charles, Marcus and Edwin; and sister-in-law Lorna McGuigan.

Visitation will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church corner of McLaughlin Rd and Morton Ave Moncton on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral at 11:00am. Funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Moncton, NB on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00am with Pastor Joel Eastwood officiating. A private family interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

Donations in Marjorie's memory made to Emmanuel Baptist Bible Institute or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
