Obituary for Gilles Girouard

1945-2019
Gilles Girouard, 74, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Dr Georges-L-Dumont UHC, Moncton, on Thursday, February 7, 2019. He was married to the late Jeannine (Bourgeois) Girouard (2011). Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Pius and the late Edna (Cormier) Girouard.

Gilles was a carman for the CN for a period of 32 years.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, France Girouard (Léo Richard) of Bouctouche, his two step-daughters; Julie Saulnier (Mathieu) of Memramcook, Miguelle Doyle (George) of Charlottetown, PEI, his sisters; Juliette Girouard of Bouctouche, Anise Robinson (Ewen) of Ottawa and several nieces and nephews.

Gilles was predeceased by two sisters, Louisa, Tilda and two brothers; Adelard and Fred.

Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche, on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche, on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 11:00am.

In Gilles memory a donation can be made to CHU Dumont Foundation.
