Obituary for Daniel Waldenberger-Bulmer

October 4, 1992 – February 4, 2019
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our brother, son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend Daniel Waldenberger-Bulmer on February 4, 2019 at the age of 26.

Daniel was a laid back, happy-go-lucky guy who always had a smile on his face. He was a cool dude who brightened the day of those around him. He loved the outdoors and travelling. He had an adventurous spirit and could often be found jumping off high places. He loved to snowboard and was an avid golfer. He made a positive impression on everyone he met. He was kind, generous, and had a big heart with enough love for everyone. Daniel lived an amazing life in his 26 years, living every day to the fullest.

Daniel was born in Grande Prairie and spent his first years in Wembley. He spent his youth in Grande Prairie and he graduated from the Grande Prairie Composite High School in 2010 with his twin brother Jeremy and cousin Matthew. He was an honour student and was very dedicated to his studies. He had a bright future ahead of him. After high school he started in construction and he later followed his dad Albe into the oilfied, working for various companies before moving to Victoria in 2015 where he worked for a fuel supply company. He spent three years there, but his heart was always in Alberta. This calling brought him to Calgary in September 2018. He was so excited to be back home in Alberta, living with his twin brother and his family and starting his career with CP Rail.

He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his parents Cari (Alvin) Smith and Albe Bulmer, his brother Jeremy (Merika) Waldenberger and their daughter Tenley, his grandparents Bob and Sue Waldenberger, his aunts Melody Bulmer (Brian), Lorene (Tom) van Everdink and their children Connor and Olivia, his uncle Daron (Christina) Waldenberger and their children Makenna, Adrian and Hayley, his aunt Shelee (Garett) Faber and their children Matthew, Nicholas, and Brooklyn, extended family and his countless friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Donald and Carol Bulmer.

A Memorial Service will be held at People’s Church (11850 108 St,) in Grande Prairie on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Daniel’s Life will follow at Wembley Community Hall (9915 100 St) in Wembley at 5:00 PM all are welcome to attend.

Donations in Memory of Daniel may be made to the Laggan Relief Fund in support of the three families affected by this unimaginable tragedy. https://ca.gofundme.com/laggan-relief-fund
