Obituary for Michael Travis

1975-2019
Michael George Travis, of Red Bank, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at the age of 43. Born in Miramichi, he was the son of George and Joyce (Morehouse) Travis.

He worked as a construction manager and was a member of St Paul's Presbyterian Church.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Allison Churchill and their daughter Kenzie; his parents George and Joyce Travis of Cassilis; sister Rhonda Travis of Cassilis; brother Carman Travis (Muriel) of Riverview; his niece Hannah Travis and nephew Tyler Travis; and two special aunts Betty Doyle of Derby Junction and Mina Campbell of Warwick Road.

The family received relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Saturday, January 26, 2019, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Sunday, January 27, 2019, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service was held on Monday, January 28, 2019, at 11 am, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Tom Ettinger officiating. Organist Shirley Estey sang “Closer Walk with Thee” and musical selections “Go Rest High on that Mountain” and “Free” were also played. Readings were done by Tyler Travis. Interment will take place in Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers were Jason Lavoie, Cory Harris, Malcolm Campbell, Tony Matchett, Kevin Campbell, and Sonya Swetman. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Hayes, Nicholas Reynolds, Devin Berthiaume, Nathan Taylor, and Clark Estey.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, or to a memorial of one's choice.
