Obituary for Clorice Landry

1925 - 2019
Clorice E. Landry, 93, of Robichaud Office, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday March 9th, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital UHC, Moncton. Born in Dupuis Corner, he was the son of the late Albert and Agnes (Thibodeau) Landry

A World War II veteran who served with the Royal Corps of Signals. He had a long and rewarding career as a fishery officer with DFO. He had a “Joie de vivre”.

Clorice was an avid outdoorsman in fishing, hunting and taxidermy. He was the proud owner of the Sportsman Museum.

Clorice will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 71 years, Imelda (Gallant) of Robichaud Office; daughter, Hélène Boudreau (Paul) of Shediac; sons, André (Phyllis) of Cormier Village, Marco of Dieppe, Wayne and Daniel (Debbie) all of Shediac; sisters, Bernice Desjardins (Adrien) and Murielle Cormier (René); brothers, Merville (late Marguerite), Alfred (Alfreda) and Jean-Guy (Emma); sisters-in-law; Victorine, Antoinette and Florine; grandchildren, Monique, Richard, Charles, Nicole, Alain, Julien, Jean-Marc, Christian and Isabelle; six great-grandchildren Ellie, Mila, Michaëlle, Laurent, Aïcha and Macy; also by serval nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Clorice was predeceased by his daughter Louise (2016); sister, Thérèse; brothers, Antoine, Gérald and Raymond.

Visitations will be held at Frenette’s Funeral Centre, Shediac on Wednesday, March 13th, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be no visitation on the day of the funeral. Funeral mass will be held the Saint-Henri de Barachois Roman Catholic Church, 1356 Route 133, Grand Barachois, on Thursday, March 14th, 2019 at 10:30am.

In memory of Clorice Landry a donation to the Volunteer Service Department of the Villa Providence in Shediac would be greatly appreciated.

The family would like to thank the Villa Providence and the Palliative Care Department at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital UHC for the excellent and compassionate care their father received.
