Obituary for Catherine Reynolds

Surrounded by her loving family Catherine Reynolds of Saint John passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Born in Saint John December 31, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Susie (Craft) Yearwood.

She worked for T.S. Simms Brush Factory for over 25 years as a Machine Operator retiring in 1968. Sis had a passion for fitness and was a proud member of Good Life, Quispamsis. In earlier years she looked forward to time spent at Cambridge Narrows with her husband Harry. Sis loved her canine friend Cody. In her spare time she could be found enjoying the sun, dancing or playing cards. Sis was always the life of the party. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Those who knew her will miss her forever.

Sis is survived by her daughters Sandra B. Duncan (Robert) and Linda C. Duncan (John) son Troy Reynolds (Terri Anne) all of Rothesay; brother Ellsworth Yearwood of Saint John; seven grandchildren Christopher, Scott, Andrea, Dana, Michael Duncan and Alexandra and Austin Reynolds; several great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends special canine companion Cody.

Along with her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her loving husband Harry Reynolds; sisters Beatrice Victor and Ella Folkins; sister-in-law Sadie Yearwood and her great-grandson Brandon Kenneth Duncan.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17th from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral service will held from St. Mary’s–St. Bartholomeus Church on Monday, March 18th at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
