Obituary for William Carlin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Charles Edward “Bill” Carlin on March 14, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in Saint John on December 3, 1935 to the late William and Magdalene (LaPierre) Carlin and was the loving husband to Carolyn (Mercer) Carlin.

In addition to his loving wife Carolyn, he is survived by his son Ronald (Gay Wilson), daughter Beth, grandchildren; Alexander, Patrick and Joseph and great granddaughter Violet.

Bill was the last surviving member of his immediate family having been predeceased by his sisters Helen Heumann and Marie Taylor as well as his parents.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 3pm. Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.

For those who wish, memorial donations made in Bill’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
