Obituary for Ruth Osmond

It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth Osmond, loving wife of the Late Wilmore E. J. Osmond, announces her passing at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home on March 14, 2019. She was born in Saint John on September 5, 1942, and was a daughter of the late Gordon and Mary (Hetherington) Almon.

Ruth was a loving person with a one of a kind smile. Family was the most important part of her life and she cherished the times spent with her grandchildren and great–grandchildren. She was a true fighter and it was the little things that meant the most to her. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Heather (Osmond) Dalling of Saint John; brother, Hughie (Rita) Almon of Barnesville; sister, Jean (the Late Buck) Buchanan of Saint John; five grandchildren: Kelsey, Tiffany, Mariah, Cody, and Aliviah; and six great–grandchildren: Riley, Victoria, Emma, Amelia, Kinley and Aniyah.

Besides her parents and her husband, Ruth was predeceased by her siblings Tim and Mona.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634–7424) where a Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 3:00 PM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date.

For those who wish, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society (Atlantic Division) or the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. www.BrenansFH.com.
