Obituary for Gerald Steeves

1929 – 2019
Gerry passed away peacefully on April 2, 2019. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of Harold and Alida Steeves.

He worked for Co–op as a Stationary Engineer for 32 years. Then had his own business as Gerry’s Refrigeration until he retired in 1991. He was a jack of all trades and had a private pilot license. He loved to camp, music, following the bluegrass circuit and enjoyed playing many musical instruments.

Gerry is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joyce. His children: John (Susan), Bob (Dorothy), Jim (Holly), Linda (late Buddy), Helen (Mike), Susan (Terry), Margie (late Bernie), Cathy (Darren), 17 grandchildren, 28 great–grandchildren and seven great–great–grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Marcia (Percy) and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Cecil, sister Marion and granddaughter Carrie.

As per Gerry’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869–2007). Online condolences may be expressed to the family at: www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
