Obituary for Victor Black

1929 - 2019
Victor Black, age 89, of Forest Dale Nursing Home passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, April 8th, 2019 with his family by his side. Born in Alma, NB he was the son of the late Edward and Mabel (McKee) Black.

Victor worked in Fundy National Park as a carpenter foreman, retired after 34 years of service. He loved the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. Dad had a great sense of humor and could tell a joke whenever he was asked. He loved playing cards, and was an avid golfer for years. Dad loved his family and was the happiest when he had all his grandchildren around. His family meant everything to him and he meant everything to them.

He will be sadly missed by his five children; Donna (Travis) Dysart of Sussex NB, Linda (Brian) Milton of Norton, NB, Phyllis (Grant) Elliott of Shepody, NB, Victoria (Donald) Bulman of Moncton, NB, Jason (Tracy) Black of Hampton, 11 grandchildren, Michael, Tara, Timothy, Tyler, Jennifer, Tiffany, Amy, Christopher, Lance, Olivia and Alexa, one sister, Matilda Barbour as well as several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Shirley Black (2009), five brothers; Arthur, Tracy, Russell, Clair and Keith, three sisters Audrey, Lois and Marie.

Victor loved spending time with his family and friends, he had a passion for golf, baseball and fishing.

A funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 2:00 pm followed by interment in Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Victor's memory may be made to the charity of donor’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton (506) 852-3530. A book of condolences may be signed at www.fairhavenmemorial.ca.
