Obituary for Rose Nowlan

1923 - 2019
Rose Nowlan, 96, of Villa du Repos, Moncton and formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Monday, April 15th, 2019, surrounded by her family’s love. Born in Coates Mills, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fidèle and the late Délina (née: Pellerin) LeBlanc.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Nowlan worked at the Humphrey Wool Mill and the Hotel-Dieu Hospital in Moncton. She volunteered many years with the Canadian Cancer Society and NB Heart and Stroke Foundation; enjoyed knitting and quilting and had a true passion for gardening. She was a member of the C.W.L. and Sainte-Thérèse Parish.

She adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; she is survived by two daughters: Marie (Albion) Boudreau of Dieppe and Bernadette Mills of Moncton; three sons: Clarence (late Jackie) of Dover Rd. (Dieppe), Roger (Rosie) of Gatineau, QC and Robert (Emerise) of Moncton; one sister, Lina (late Lévi) Bastarache of Bouctouche; two step-brothers: Jim (Irène) Nowlan of Moncton and Arthur (Rita) Nowlan of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent; 13 grandchildren: Serge, Michael, Elizabeth, Linda, Susan, Martin, Mélanie B., Rosalie, Solange, Mélanie N, Jérémie, Isabelle and Nicole; 11 great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Simon, Audrée, Isabelle, Tyler, Jeffrey, Jenaya, Ethan, Logan, Katherine, and Chanelle; a great-great-grandson, Torin, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert in 2015; one son, Yvon in 2004; six brothers: Emile (Rita), Edgar (Dorine), Jos, Abel (Laudia), Edouard (Jeanne) and Albert as well as one half-brother, Robert LeBlanc.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Wednesday from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm only. A Celebration of the Word will be held from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Thursday, April 18th, 2019 at 10:30 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe.
Donations to Maison Nazareth and the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
She will be remembered and never forgotten for her never ending kindness and her tremendous generosity towards everyone who crossed her path.
