Obituary for Paxton Hodd

December 1, 2016 - May 6, 2019
It is with incredible sadness that the family of Paxton Paul Hodd announces his unexpected passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital Emergency Room on Monday, May 6, 2019. He was born the greatest blessing to Geoff and Emily Hodd on December 1, 2016. Through all his complications he met the world with a smile every day and loved to make other people smile as only a small child with a small smile can. Unfortunately, our boy and our hero, Paxton went into cardiac arrest and did not recover. He is loved more than anyone and has a special place in so many lives. Mommy and Daddy love you Paxton, more than anything in the world. May you rest in peace our little man.

Paxton is survived by his parents, Geoffrey and Emily Hodd; brother Raedon Dutchak; and grandmothers Patricia Hodd and Margaret Gouin. He is also survived by aunts: Kelly Saunders (Tom), Cindy Hamilton-Urquhart (Steve) and Maggie Kelly (Mike); and uncle Dale Smith (Brenda). Special cousins are Caleb, Christopher and Josh Saunders, Leah Pomeroy, Stacie Smith, Bryce Kelly, Steven Jones and Frank Jones (Erin).

He was predeceased by his grandfathers: Paul Hodd and Arthur Gouin.

The family would like to thank Doctors Ross, Maloney and Taylor; the many wonderful nurses and ER staff, as well as the paramedics and KRPF police officers who tried so valiantly to save our tiny doll.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). Visitation will be taking place on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of Paxton's life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel, at 11 AM.

Donations made in memory of Paxton may be made to the IWK or Alberta Children's Hospital. Online condolences may be placed at www.KennebecasisFH.com.
