Obituary for Therese Jean

Therese A. Jean, 90, of The Briarlea Residence, Moncton, NB, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2019 surrounded by her family. Born in Bas-Caraquet, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Delia (Chaisson) Lanteigne.

Therese, with her late husband, Anthime (John), raised their family in Halifax / Dartmouth and enjoyed many summers at the family cottage in Caraquet. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and “Mom” to many others.

Therese is survived by her daughters, Monique (Nikki) Peck (Clifton) of Dartmouth, NS and Lisa Langille (Jonathan) of Halifax, NS; sons, Andre Jean (Laurie) of Surrey, BC, Claude Jean (Claire) of Miramichi, NB and Ron Jean (Tracy) of Moncton, NB; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorraine Lanteigne of Caraquet, NB and Auna Borduas of Montreal, QC.

In addition to her parents, Therese was predeceased by her husband, Anthime “John” Jean and brothers, Cerile “Jerry” and Alphonse.

The family would like to thank the supportive caregivers and the dining room staff of The Briarlea for their exceptional care shown to their mother during her stay.

In honoring Therese’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.

In memory of Therese, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences for the family may be shared at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
