Obituary for Kathryn “Kathy” Doucette

Kathryn “Kathy” Doucette, 60, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late J. Leonard and Marion (Banks) Doucette.

Kathy was a former employee of the Federal Government (Employment Insurance).

Kathy enjoyed listening to music, especially the songs of the ‘70’s. Her hobbies included crocheting and crafting, baking and she will be especially remembered for her famous candy houses she constructed for Christmas gatherings, every year being a replica of a different family members home. She was a dog lover, but most important was the time spent with her family.

Kathy fought hard for many years with numerous health issues, but always kept her beautiful smile.

Kathy will be sadly missed by her sister, Darlene Doucette (Greg); brothers, Gary Doucette (Louise), Greg Doucette (Francine) and Daryl “Bucky” Doucette (Gail); as well as several nieces and nephews, whom she adored; her companion, Guy Melanson and special friend, Vaunna Frenette.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Kathy’s life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.

In memory of Kathryn, donations to the IWK Foundation.would be appreciated. Online condolences for the family may be shared at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
