Obituary for Russell Carson

Russell Vincent Carson, 84, of Havelock, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, May 11, 2019 with family at his side. Born in Hicks Settlement, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Gladys Carson.

He was a retired equipment operator with Canada Cement Lafarge and member of the Havelock Lions Club, and the Havelock Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, hunting, a friendly game of cards, and especially time spent with family.

Russell is survived and sadly missed by his sons, Brian (Ruth), Danny (Debbie) and Gary (Lynette) all of Havelock and Jim (Susan) of Hillsborough; grandchildren Veronica, Dallas, Megan Carson-Menzie, Cole, Chris, Ashley Chase, Timothy, Nathan, Erin Colpitts, Philip, Gavin and Benn; great-grandchildren Torah, Trace, Kannon, Owen, Avery, Emmalin, Hudson, Lauren, Karsyn, Adeline, Drewyn, Maya, Lincoln, Parker and Mason. Survived also by a sister, Madelyn Prosser of Montreal and by nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara, brother Elmer, and an infant granddaughter Valerie.

Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) from where visiting will be Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral will be held from the Havelock Baptist Church on Sunday, May 19 at 2 pm with Rev. Jeff Irving and Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating. Interment at the Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock.
