Obituary for Jean Seely

It is with sadness the family of Jean Seely announce her death which occurred unexpectedly at emergency at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday May 11, 2019. Born in Saint John on May 2, 1936; she was the daughter of the late Burton and Essie (Warwick) Seely.

Jean worked in the payroll department for many years at Stephenson’s Limited later working in homecare, caring for seniors. A longtime member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church; she had a great sense of humor, adored animals and Bingo. She loved to socialize and enjoyed time spent at her cottage in Buckley’s Cove.

Jean is survived by her sister Marjorie Arthurs of Saint John; special great niece Jamie Cyr (Tim) of Willow Grove; great-great niece Riley; several cousins and best friend Kathleen Wilson (Gary) and friends.

Jean was predeceased by her parents, nephew John Arthurs and brother-in-law Royden Arthurs.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday, May 15 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 at 10:30 a.m, followed by a reception, then burial at Cedar Hill Ext.
