Obituary for Paul Bastarache

1932 - 2019
Moncton, NB – Paul Bastarache, 86, passed away peacefully at Faubourg du Mascaret’s nursing home in Moncton, on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Born in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Hector and the late Marguerite Bastarache (born Melanson) and his step-mother, Rita Bastarache (born LeBlanc).

Paul will be sadly missed by his wife, Alvina Bastarache of Moncton; by his two sons, Ronald (Michelle) of Moncton and Jean (Monique) of Dieppe; by his three daughters, Pauline LeBlanc (Laurie) of Moncton, Gisèle Melanson (Michael) of Moncton and Claudette Bastarache (Jake Chiasson) Notre-Dame-de-Kent; by his sister, Yvette Cormier of Waltham, Mass; by his six grandchildren, Mélanie (André Wilson), Monica, Margo, Nathalie (Dominik), Anika (Corey) and Jacob; two great-grandchildren, Maëlle and Caleb; also by his several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters, Dora, Osithe and Marie; by five brothers, Antoine, Odilon, Omer, Arthur and Cléo.

Visitation will be held at Passage (625 Mountain Road, Moncton), on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm and from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday morning. Funeral Service will be held at Notre-Dame de Grace Roman Catholic Church, on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11 am.

Donation can be made to the Alzheimer Society (Dementia), the Moncton Hospital or to a charity of your choice. The family invites you to sign an online book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefunerl.ca.
