Obituary for David Clark

The passing of David Arthur Clark of Fredericton, NB, Husband of the late Marie-Ange occurred on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Saint John Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB August 16, 1943, he was the son of the late Ralph and Violet (nee Rickard) Clark of Fredericton, NB.

He retired from the Department of Transportation (New Brunswick Government) after 34 years of service. Dave returned to work as a Commissionaire at the Government House for 8 years where he loved to help and keep people in line. Dave’s focus for the last 20 years of his life was to help others. He did this with his famous “volunteer walks” at the Fredericton Detox Center… he waited patiently by his phone to make sure he was available to bring people on walks and talk their ears off. Dave lived for 24 years in the friendship of Bill W. in New Brunswick and Canmore, AB where he visited his son.

Dave was the proud father of his son James (Mia). He is also survived by one sister Marlene, in NS, one brother Eugene in ON.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his infant son Kenneth, four brothers Byron, George, Sidney and Kenneth and one sister Dawn Marie.

As he was always trying to help others in his life and in his passing, he has graciously donated his body to science.

At Dave’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to Portage Atlantic (www.portage.ca) or Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation (www.pancreaticcancercanada.ca). Online condolences may be made at www.mcadamsfh.com.
