Obituary for William Ramsay

1935 - 2019
It is with great sadness the family of William “Billy” Ramsay, 83, formerly of Bridge St., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Foyer Notre Dame-de-Lourdes, with family at his side. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late George and Annie (Good) Ramsay.

He was retired from driving school bus, a job he was born to do.

He was predeceased by his wife, Vesta (Knowles) Ramsay.

Bill is survived by one son, Mark Dempsey (Joan) of Bathurst and one daughter, Heather Sellers of Kitchener, ON. Two grandchildren, Billy Dempsey of Bathurst and Cindy Dempsey of Fredericton. Three sisters: Edwina Laturnus (Frank) of North Gower, ON, Shelva Cripps and Gloriann Hachey (Lionel) both of Bathurst. Special friend, Anita Doucet. Many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four sisters Jennie Helie, Georgina “Kay” Lamey, Ada McLean, Betty Holmes and two brothers, Harold and Blair.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Billy may be made to the Bathurst SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice.
