Obituary for Linda Hanlon

It is with sadness that the family of Linda Lou Hanlon announces her passing which occurred on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre, Hampton, NB. Born in Saint John, NB, on December 6, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Glendon and Greta (Reid) Hanlon of Titusville, NB.

Linda Lou was mentally challenged but was never spared all the love, care and attention that any person could receive. She was always the center of attention. She remained at home until her parents passed away and she became a resident of Yvonne’s Special Care Home where she received excellent care. Extra help for Linda Lou was provided by loving care givers: Linda Scott, Hazel Saunders and Rita Lake. These girls carried on providing extra love and attention when she moved to the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre in 2011. There she received excellent care and was well looked after until her passing.

Linda is survived by her aunt Shirley and uncle Harold “Hap” Bettle; aunt Ellen Hanlon, who was always there for her; aunt Marie Kilpatrick; aunt Alice Hanlon; as well as many cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where a private Celebration of Linda Lou’s life will take place. A private interment will take place at Titus Hill Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Linda Lou may be made to the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre or to the memorial of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and memorial donations may be made through ReidsFH.com
