Obituary for Doris Vernon Scovil

The death of Doris Vernon (Emerson) Scovil of Rothesay, NB, occurred on Wednesday May 15, 2019, at Shannex, Quispamsis. Born in Saint John, NB on June 25, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Edith Emerson. She was a member of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, IODE, Union Club, and the Riverside Country Club.

Doris will be missed by her sons, Dr. John E. (Deborah) Scovil of Saint John and Dr. Robert J. (Debbie) Scovil of Halifax, NS; her sister, Margaret (Robert) Ross, Montreal; grandchildren, Carolyn (Adam) Brown, Susan (Dennis) Wong, Lauren (Shaun) Dorsey, Lyndsay and Allie Scovil; great–grandchildren, Isaac, Erica, Alexander and Oliver; several nieces and nephews.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, George W. Scovil.

Special thanks to Dawn Erb for her many years of care and companionship and to the staff of Shannex.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row Saint John, NB (634–7424) Row, with visiting on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 12:30PM to 1:30PM at Brenan’s Funeral Home with a Funeral Liturgy to follow. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Rothesay, or a charity of choice, would be greatly appreciated. www.brenansfh.com
