Obituary for Phyllis Margaret Dempsey

Phyllis M. Dempsey, 90, of Moncton and formerly of Pine Glen, with loving members of her family by her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late George Frazee and Grace nee Spencer. Phyllis formerly attended Bethel Baptist Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 6.

Phyllis will be sadly missed by her children, Brian Dempsey (Deanna) of Pine Glen, Gail Lane (Keith), Wendy O’Blenes (Austin), Barbara Joan Kenna (Gerard) and Pam Dempsey, all of Moncton; grandchildren, Wendell (Tymathy), Jeremy (Nadine), Melissa (Albert), Mark (Lori), Nick (Angela), Glenn (Damika), Adam, Angela (Andrew) and Allison (Jeremy); several cherished great grandchildren; brother, George “Buddy” Frazee (Barbara); sisters, Jacqueline Steeves (late Ivan), Marjorie Watters (Robert “Bud”), Marilyn Steeves (Ken), Cheryl Garland (Reg); several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carl Patrick Dempsey (1994); sister, Leona and brothers, Douglas and James.

Private family graveside service to be held at Fair Haven Cemetery, with Pastor Lloyd O’Blenes leading the service.

Arrangements entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858–1995).
