Obituary for Brenda Corkum

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Brenda Jeanette (Warner) Corkum of Saint John, B, wife of Donald Corkum which occurred on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on July 2, 1947 she was a daughter of the late J.W. Raymond and Florence (Brown) Warner.

Besides her husband she is survived by four sons: Steven Corkum (Christine Shannon), Daniel Corkum (Laura Lynch), Sean Corkum (Paulette McKenna) and Bryan Corkum; brothers: Kenneth Warner (Patsy), James Warner (Liz); sisters:Nancy Johnston (Owen), Ellen Garnett (Earl), Elaine Thompson (George); grandchildren: Lacie Corkum, Steven Corkum, Brandon Corkum; extended grandchildren: Cloe McKenna, Emma McKenna, Zachary McKenna; great–grandchild, Sayler Corkum; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She found comfort and strength by having her family there for big holiday dinners.

Brenda was famous for her knitting especially her Christmas slippers.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the caring staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634–7425) with visiting on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 4–8 pm. Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from Brenan’s BayView Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the S.P.C.A., the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB and Kidney Foundation of Canada – Atlantic Branch would be appreciated by the family.
