Obituary for Margaret Waddell
WADDELL, MARGARET JANE- It is with sadness the family announce the passing of Margaret Jane
Waddell of Saint John, who passed away peacefully with her loving children by her side at her residence
at Loch Lomond Village on Saturday May 18, 2019. Born April 29, 1936 in Saint John, she was the
daughter of the late Gordon and Nancy (VanHorne) Lamb. In her earlier years Margie worked for NB Tel
after later giving up her career to become a full time loving wife and mother. She was a talented cook
and baker and passionate about gardening and traveling. Family was most important to Margie .She is
loved and will be missed by her son Scott Waddell and daughter Trudy Fram both of Saint John; precious
grandchildren Shyla, Christopher, Cassandra, Alecia and Derek; great-grandchildren Lexus, Jace and
Josie; nieces, nephews and special friends Margo & Bill MacDonald and Grace & Gerald O’Brien. Margie
was the last surviving member of her immediate family; along with her parents, she was predeceased by
her husband Burton Waddell; sister Almeta Gibbs, brothers Merlin, Allison and Maynard.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) A
celebration of her life will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday May 23 rd at 11:00
a.m. Visitation will held from 10:00 until time of service. The service will followed by a reception.
Donations in Margie’s memory can be made to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation, Alzheimer’s
