Obituary for Gaynell “Gaye” Clarke

Passed away peacefully in London, Ontario on Thursday, May 16th, 2019, with her family by her side, at the age of 81. She is predeceased by her parents, Ronald and Mary Hatfield.

Gaye was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who found joy from her family and many friends. She lived a life dedicated to those she loved and always made everyone around her feel at ease and welcome in her presence. Gaye was an active member of her community and of Byron United Church. Her two grandchildren, Madeline and William, were the light of her life. She loved them dearly and was equally loved by them in return. Through good times, she cheered the loudest and through bad times, she was always the first to give comfort to those in need. Gaye was loved by all and will be missed by those who were lucky enough to know her.

Gaye is survived by her husband, Jack Clarke; sister, Donna Vincent; three sons: Peter, Michael and Timothy; daughters-in-law: Pat, Janet and Kara; niece, Julie; nephew, Mark; grandchildren, Madeline and William; and great-grandchildren, Brycen and Kaydence.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. A memorial service will be conducted at BYRON UNITED CHURCH, 420 Boler Road, London, on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.

Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Gaye are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or Byron United Church. For information and online condolences, please visit www.westviewfuneralchapel.com
