Obituary for Ida LeBlanc

Ida LeBlanc, 81, of Grand–Barachois, passed away on Sunday May 19, 2019 at The Dr. Georges–L. Dumont UHC Hospital. Born in Cormier Village, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ozithe (Richard) Donelle.

She is survived by her four daughters: Juliette Melanson (Guy), Georgette Léger (late Gérald), Yvonne Melanson (Irénée) and Edith Blacklock (late Mike) all of Grand–Barachois; one son, Jean (Claudette Léger) of Shediac; nine sisters: Léonie Melanson, Mai Landry, Évelyne Vienneau (Yvon), Annie Donelle, Eva Melanson, Lucie Cormier, Marguerite Pinard (Georges), Cécile Surprenant (Guy) and Dorice Simard (Denis); one brother, Raymond (Maria); eight grandchildren; six great–grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Henri E. LeBlanc; one daughter, Gisèle; two brothers: Arthur and Blaire; one sister, Emma.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Wednesday May 22 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 9:30 am till time of departure (10:15 am). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St–Henri de Barachois R.C. church, 1356 Route 133, Grand–Barachois on Thursday May 23, 2019 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in parish cemetery.

In memory of Ida, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
