Obituary for Alice McGraw

It is with great sadness the family of Alice Emma McGraw announce her passing, which occurred following a surgery and brief illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, May 27, 2019. Born in Saint John on April 3, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Helen (Gallant) Bonnell.

Alice known as “Mouse” to many due to her love of cheese; was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a talented cook and was known for her delicious meat pies, homemade bread and collection of cook books. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and especially time with her family. Those who knew and love her will miss her forever.

Alice is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Val “Guy” McGraw of Saint John; son Frank (Tina) of Saint John; daughter Tanya Taylor (David) of Rothesay; precious grandchildren Jessica (Shawn), Mariah, Cordilia and Alexander; great-grandchildren Lexxi and Brayden; brothers Leo (Karen), Michael (Carmel), Danny (Susan), Mac (Elaine) and Sammy (Jody); sisters Debbie Bailey (Peter), Christine Bonnell, Belinda Hurley and Peggy Bonnell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation will be held on Thursday May 30th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church, 14 Almon Lane, Rothesay on Friday May 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery in Miramichi, NB.
