Obituary for Joan Boone

It is with great sorrow we have to say goodbye to the final rock that holds the foundation of our family together. She was a loving Mom, Nana, Grammy and GG. Her family was always her priority and her grandchildren her pride & joy.

Joan Marie Boone (nee Tweedie) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland, NB on Thursday, June 6th, 2019. Joan was born March 7th, 1935 in Greenfield, NB, the loving daughter of the late George “Frederick” & Alice Tweedie (nee Underhill).

She will forever be loved & cherished by her seven Children: Pam (Bert) MacLean , Janet (Rick) Brewer, Kevin (Kim) Boone, Judy (Carl) Crandlemire, Sonya Boone (Kevin Kenney), Heather (Michael) Budrow and Tanya (Tim) Buckingham; her 11 grand children: Jennifer (Shawn) Brewster, Rachel Boone (Mike MacDonald), Joanna Boone (Elsworth Kennard), Patrick Boone, Catherine Boone, Mandy Crandlemire, Megan Crandlemire, Matthew Kenney (Kate Rattray), Tyson Budrow (Sarah Saunders), Cole Budrow and David Buckingham; her seven great- grandchildren: Hannah and Noah MacDonald, Damien Trecartin, Judah Kennard, Cayden & Carson Kenney and Owen Crandlemire; Brother Arthur Tweedie (Mary); sister Barbara Harvey and sister in law Ethel Tweedie plus many nieces and nephews. Also, her nursing home family that treated her and our family with such great kindness and compassion over the past 3 years.

Joan was predeceased by her great granddaughter “our angel” Britney Brewster, her parents, the father of her children Kenneth Boone, brother Edwin, sister Dorothy Saunders (John), brother-in-law Bob Harvey.

Visitation was held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland, on Sunday, June 9th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service was on Monday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m. from the Coldstream Baptist Church. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hartland.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Britney Brewster Memorial Fund or the Central Carleton Nursing Home. www.brittonfh.ca.
