Obituary for Kathleen Helen Pyne

The sudden passing of Kathleen “Kaye” Helen Pyne of Fredericton, NB occurred on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at her home. Born on November 30, 1935 in Douglas, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Stafford) Dunphy.

Kaye was the retired owner of the business Growing Pains. She served on many Board of Directors such as Better Business Association; Deafblind and Rubella Association; she also served as a judge for the Dairy Bureau of Canada. Kaye received the Honour of Dairy Bureau of Canada by being named Dame of the Food Service Grand Prix, she served for five years.

Kaye is survived by her daughter, Wendy Spencer (Jerry) and son, Mike Pyne (Lori) both of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Marshall Hovey, Krystal MacPherson (Shane), Cody Pyne and Austin Hovey; great-granddaughter, Emerlee; brothers, Richard Dunphy (Barb) of Fredericton, NB and Dale Dunphy (Debbie) of Gagetown, NB; several nieces and nephews; step son, Greg Pyne (Tracey).

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Patricia White (Carl).

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
