Obituary for Murray Price

With a deep sense of loss, the family of Murray R. Price announce his passing on June 9, 2019 at the Campbellton Village Nursing Home. Murray was born in Neguac, NB on August 20, 1925. He was the son of Robert and Kathleen (MacKnight) Price and was the last surviving member of his family.

Dad was a hard working man from a young age. He proudly served his country in the Merchant Navy 1939-1945, sailing from Vancouver. He then worked for CNR for 38 years 7 months. M.R. as he was known by many, loved all things nature-fishing, hunting, his camp and walking. M.R. was a Legion #19 Branch member for 75 years.

Dad (alias Pappy), had a sweet tooth like no other for fudge, chocolate and suckers; the last of which he enjoyed from great-grandson Seth McLean.

Murray is survived by his daughter June, son-in-law Cecil Aucoin, granddaughter Karla (Corey McLean), grandson Steven and awesome great-grandson Seth. He was predeceased by his wife Maxine in 2015.

Time of Remembrance will be held on Friday June 14 at Maher's Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, from 7:00 to 9:00. Legion members of Campbellton branch # 19 and all members of the Royal Canadian Legion are asked to meet at Maher’s Funeral Home on Friday evening at 7:30pm for Legion Service. A private family graveside service will be held the following day.

For those who wish, donations may be made to the Campbellton Nursing Home, First United Church or a Charity of your choice.
