Obituary for John Stewart

John Edward Stewart, age 73 of Douglasfield Road, Miramichi, NB, passed away on June 8th, 2019 after a lengthy illness. Born in Boom Road, NB, he was the son of John and Eva (Cain) Stewart.

He is survived by wife of 53 years, Jane (Mazerall) and Sons, Robert and Allan. Six sisters, Myrtle Williston (Ches), Betty Baisley (Bobby), Sheila Mills (Winfield), Karen Jardine (Ivan), Janie Doucet (Aldie), Brenda McAuley (Carl), three brothers, Frankie (Starlene), Erbie (Elaine), Garie (Patsy), sisters-in-law Freida Cain and Kathleen Cyr, brother-in-law, Jim Mazerall and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and four brothers, Charles, Hubert, Kenneth and Ronnie.

At John’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held on Saturday June 22nd, 2019 at the Miramichi Cemetery at 2 pm. A reception will follow at Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant Street, Miramichi, NB.
