Obituary for Ruth Nightingale

NIGHTINGALE, RUTH
Ruth Jean Nightingale resident of Minto, NB passed at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on June 11, 2019 at the age of 87.

Ruth is survived by her devoted daughter Lynda, brother Ross, grandson Matthew (Erin), granddaughter Shawnna (Jordan) and great-grandchildren Addyson and Samuel.

She is predeceased by her husband Delmere, her mother Mary Ann and her siblings Chandler, Mary, Bob, Betty, Arthur and Eleanor.

Ruth was born October 29, 1931 in Toronto, ON. In 1954, she married the love of her life Delmere Nightingale and later moved from Toronto, ON to his hometown Minto, NB with their beloved daughter Lynda.

Ruth had a strong spirit and a great sense of humour. She followed current events and politics with a passion. Her hobbies included crocheting, gardening and taking road trips with her daughter. She loved her pets and took every opportunity to spend time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.

There will be no funeral service, but instead a small gathering of close family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
