Obituary for Jessie Geikie

Jessie Aleigh Geikie, 96, formerly of The Glades, passed away peacefully at Embassy Hall, Shannex, Quispamsis on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, with her son Kim by her side. Born in Upper Blackville, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Clythie (Cunningham) Arbeau, and widow of Bertram Geikie (1997).

Jessie was a retired Clerical Officer at the Jordan Memorial Home and a former member of the Glades Baptist Church, life member of the Women's Missionary Society, and Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the River Glade Seniors and was a canvasser for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Kidney Foundation. She enjoyed numerous bus excursions, making many friends, and always enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her granddaughters and great-grandsons.

Jessie is survived and sadly missed by her son, Kim (Joan) of Quispamsis; two granddaughters, Tara Cormier (Serge) of Quispamsis, and Megan Blacquier (Mike) of Saint John; great-grandsons, Nicholas, Noah, Aidan and Rowan; niece, Debbie Demerchant (Bob); nephew, Andrew Comeau (Debbie); grand-nephews, Michael Comeau and Jeff DeMerchant; and grand-niece, Theresa Comeau.

Besides her parents and husband, Jessie was predeceased by two brothers, Ambrose and Waverly Arbeau; and sister, Rose Comeau.

Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106, Salisbury West, (506-372-4800) from where visiting will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 1pm followed immediately by a Funeral Service at 2 pm with Pastor Lloyd O'Blenes officiating. Interment in The Glades Baptist Cemetery.
