Obituary for John Fennell

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of John "Jack" Douglas Fennell of Saint John, NB, which occurred peacefully on Tuesday, June 11 at Bobby’s Hospice with family by his side. Jack was born January 28, 1947 in Saint John, NB he was son of the late Gerald and Florence (Boyle) Fennell.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife June (Campbell) of 51 years and loving daughter Andrea Fennell and his grand-kitties. Also, by his step-father, Gerald Carpenter of Kars, NB and two brothers Paul (Valerie) Fennell of Saint John and Edward Fennell of Wickham, sisters-in-law; Valerie Smith of Regina, SK, Cheryl Campbell (Dale Sprauge) of Arthurette, NB, Angela (Matthew) Michaud of Arthurette, NB, his godson Aaron Sprague and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother Francis "Frank", sister in-law Allison and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

After graduating from Belleisle High School in 1965, he attended trade school in Saint Andrews, NB. In his earlier years he worked for Canada Post. Jack was his name “Jack of all trades” and master of most. He was very creative having many skills and talents. Cars were his passion, working in all areas of the car industry. He found his comfort zone.

Arrangements entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. There will be no visitation or funeral at Jack’s request, a private family burial will take place at a later date.

Memorials in memory of Jack may be made to the SPCA, John T. McMillan Foundation, Extra Mural, Bobby’s Hospice or donors choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.fundyfuneralhome.com
