Obituary for Lois Barton

It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Lois Jean (Allen) Barton which occurred Thursday, June 13, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born in St. Martins, NB on September 7, 1927 she was the daughter of the late John and Maude (King) Allen.

Lois graduated from St. Martins High School, and spent the majority of her working career at the Old Regional Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital until her retirement. Following this, Lois worked with Junior W.A., afterschool program at Saint James Anglican Church, Broad Street.

Lois is survived by her cherished children; Birdena Neal (Rob), Lois Searle (Pat), Helen Cullen (John), Lindsey Searle (Faith), Harry Searle (Toni), Peter Searle (Dianne) and her step son Christopher Barton (Melissa). She will be remembered by her several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Lois is predeceased by her husband John Barton and brother Henry Allen.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday, June 16th between the hours of 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 17th at 2 pm from the Fundy Chapel, Father Ken Weir officiating.

Memorial Donations towards Bobby's Hospice would be appreciated.
