Obituary for Joseph Després

1932-2019
Joseph Després, 87, of Middle River passed away Sunday June 9th, 2019 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Baie Sainte-Anne he was the son of the late Henri and Osithe (Durelle) Després.

He worked as a teacher most of his life and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Mgr Wheten Assembly 0615.

He is survived by his wife Aurore (Robichaud) Després and five children:
Guy (Ioana Berbec) of Bucharest, Romania, Robert (Kim) of Saint John, Denis (Inge) of Fredericton, Anne O’Hallaran (Joey) of Florida and Roger (April Boucher) of Bathurst.

Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

One sister O’Rhea Robichaud of Saint John.

Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his brothers and sisters: Israël, Alonzo, Aquila, Arcade, Onéda and Laurie.

Funeral mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday June 14th, 2019 from Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst.

The family wishes to thank the dialysis team at the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the care given to Joseph during the last 10 years and a special thanks to Dr. Hickey and Dr. Robichaud.
