Obituary for James Matheson

James Robert Matheson, 70, of Colpitts Settlement passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Greta (O'Blenis) Matheson.

In his retirement he enjoyed hobbies, video games, gardening and loved spending time with his family and fur babies.

James is survived and sadly missed by his wife Alysia (Myra); sons Michael (Laura) and Jason (Margaret) of Salisbury; grandchildren Trent, Ashley, Melissa, Ian, Jessica, Kyle and Zackery; great-grandchildren Kaylee, Everleigh, Gavin and Mary-Jane; brothers Hubert (Bert) (Betty) of Harvey Station, Donald (Marion) of Oshawa, Lloyd (Diane) of Trent River, ON, Bruce (Marlene) of Salisbury, Paul of Moncton and Brent (Sandy) of Anagance; his two fur babies Sassy and Misty and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his son Gerald; sister Rhonda; brother Victor and sister-in-law Judy.

There is no service by personal request. A Celebration of Life will take place at 18 MacDonald Road, Salisbury on Wednesday, June 19 from 4 to 8 pm. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106, Salisbury (372-4800).

If desired, donations to the Greater Moncton SPCA or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
