Obituary for Thomas McCarthy Jr.

1935 - 2019
Thomas Jr. McCarthy, 83, of Moncton, passed away on June 15, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on December 30, 1935 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Thomas Sr. McCarthy and Aurore (Allain) McCarthy.

Thomas worked from 1955 until his retirement in 1990 as a supervisor for CN Railway. He also worked at the Moncton Coliseum and the Fourplex Superior Propane Centre.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gisèle née Fortin; three children: Charline Roach (Bobby) and Susan (Jackie Bohnet), both of Alberta, and John of Moncton; two grandchildren: Eric (Jenny) and Luc (Nicole); two great-grandchildren: Ollie and Parker; one sister, Frances Surette of Moncton; one brother: Guy (Pierrette) of Alberta; as well as several nieces, nephews.

He was predeceased by three sisters: Marguerite, Hélène and Thérèse; and five brothers: Denis, Linus, Bernard, Patrick, and Gérard.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Thursday June 20 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm only.
