Obituary for Judith Bates

1953 – 2019
Judi Bates of Riverview passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of Anne (Betty Lambly) and the late Douglas C. Lambly.

Judi was a dedicated loving mother who treasured her sons Alex and Jesse. She will be remembered by her coworkers and customers from Read’s Newsstand, Tim Horton’s and the Riverview Dollarama for her cheery smile and warm spirit. With her husband John, Judi loved winter snowmobiling on P.E.I. In her quiet times, Judi was an avid reader and fan of Formula 1 racing.

Judi will be dearly missed by her devoted and loving husband John of Riverview; her mother Betty Lambly, daughter-in-law, Lisa; sisters, Dorothy Gabbey (Richard) of Trenton and Anne Somers (Robert) of Riverview; brothers, Peter Lambly (Judith) of Halifax and Russell Lambly of Miramichi; daughter-in-law Lisa and granddaughters Cassidy and Kennedy, sister-in-law Cathy McLeod (Ross) of Shediac and brother-in-law David Bates (Vicki) of St. Albert.

Sadly, Judi was predeceased by her loving sons, Jesse and Alex.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview on Tuesday, June 18th from 6 to 8 PM. A private family service will take place from the funeral home.

Donations to either the Breast Cancer Society of Canada or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated.

Finally, the families want to thank Dr. Doucet and the nurses of the oncology ward, Moncton Hospital, for their care and compassion.
