Obituary for Marilyn Johnston

Marilyn E. Johnston, age 57, of Harvey, NB, passed away on June 15, 2019 at Hospice Fredericton after a battle with cancer. Marilyn was born in Harvey Station, NB on November 16, 1961, a daughter of the late Roland and Marguerite (Sutherland) Bright.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Randy Johnston; her children, Troy Johnston (Doris), Randall Johnston (Natasha) and Crystal Tran (Phong), all of Grand Prairie, AB, Natalie Mersereau (Ryan) and Amanda Johnston, both of Harvey Station, NB; a sister, Alberta Smith (Neil), McAdam, NB; a brother, Donnie Bright (Brenda), Harvey Station, NB; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in the Johnston family.

Visiting hours will be held at Harvey Lions Club, 4722 Route 640, Harvey, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 2 pm at the Harvey Lions Club with Rev. George Clark officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Debbie Walsh, Cindy Rosborough, Susan Price, Dawn Pollock, Sylvia Morehouse and Jeannie Swan.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Marilyn, the family has suggested the Hospice Fredericton, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
