Obituary for Andrew MacKenzie

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Andrew James MacKenzie, AKA “P”, announces his passing on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Andrew was born February 27, 1952 in Sussex, NB and was the son of the late James and Georgie (Morrell) MacKenzie.

He was a Red Seal Carpenter for many years. Andrew was a long-time volunteer at Romero House for 20+ years. He enjoyed his garden and was always there to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jean (Leslie); children Michael (Chelsey), Laura (Pedro) Medrano and Bradley (Danielle); grandchildren Kalub, Belle, Deshaun, Ava, Jersi-lyn, Ronin, Hannibal, Kallista, Denton, Sadie, Carlos, Angelo, Mia and great-grandson Elias; brothers Kenneth (Sue) and Donald; sister Beth and aunts Janet Eldridge and Ann Bennett; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Donna Boyd.

At his request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Reception and Celebration of his Life will be held at Romero House, (647-649 Brunswick Drive) on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 beginning at 2p.m.
