Obituary for Evelyn Costello

Evelyn Paula Costello
At Home. At Peace. At Last.
April 13, 1947 – June 16, 2019
Evelyn passed away painlessly and peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

Predeceased by her mother Margaret Costello (MacKay) and father John Costello of Charlottetown, PEI.; her sister Mary Costello of Charlottetown, PEI.; and her brother John Costello of Toronto, ON.

Survived by her twin sister Elva Costello of Charlottetown, PEI; Loving Auntie Moose to niece Jennifer Arsenault (Jean-Louis Arsenault) and great-niece Megan Corrigan of Charlottetown, PEI. Also survived by many cousins in the Boston States and her special fur companion Millie Grace Ford. Special thanks to my support team and special friends Paula and Jean Tippet, Dave Signer and the wonderful staff at the Palliative Care Unit.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB. No visitation or funeral by personal request. Burial service to take place at the New London Cemetery, New London, PEI on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers or donations, in my memory, please research Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID), which allowed me to die painlessly, gracefully and with dignity – EC.

“But I sight a vaster sea-line,
Wider lee-way, longer run,
Whose discoverers return not
With the ships of gray St. John”
- Bliss Carmen, The Ships of Saint John.
